Is there ANYONE that can actually see Heretic getting struck with the whip in today's 3rd? I've watched it 100 times and have yet to see contact.

I would say there is about a 99% chance that the horse was "struck" by the whip.

The quality of calracing replays isn't good enough for me to freeze a frame , but the infraction comes at about 58 seconds on both the regular or head-on replays.

I saw the simo and they slo-mo 'd the replay after the DQ was made and it was very clear. The rider of the place horse switches his stick, taps him righty and as his brings the stick back to take a second whack, he hits Heretic's face. I missed it the first time because I was watching the winner but it was clear on the replay of the stretch run.
