Yeah, that sounds like the way it should be. I'd love to see the NFL rep that would get to explain to the families of those four HUMANS killed by Reggie Rogers and Leonard Little why the value of the dogs' lives mean more than their loved one's did and the penalty should be stiffer.

I agree... I also had a pit bull. Unfortunately, if they are enabled to fight and taught to kill, you can't put them in a home. It's way too risky and dangerous. It's just sad...

"Through this situation I've found Jesus,"

Vick actually said this today sounding like he was reading a prepared statement like in one of those hostage videos.

I hope he knows that the good Lord is not into dog fighting.

When I was watching the news I thought I heard people cheering him, but I thought no way they must be yelling stuff at him. That's just sick. I can just hear it now. "If this had been a white football player this wouldn't be happening."

I am really happy he found Jesus, although I didn't know Jesus was lost. Pretty convenient finding him now. It was pretty funny to listen to an interview back in April where Vick said how much he loved dogs and how he would never harm one. What a difference a few months make.

It was also heartwarming that he apologized to the fans. What a guy.
yeah i know, real convenient finding Jesus right now. I'm sure he's been staying up late at night reading the bible.

I think a lot of that cheering is staged, fans and friends that they encourage to get out there and make noise. PR stuff.

Its really sad that people in trouble always use jesus as a crutch. Yes, some of these jailhouse confessions are real and their lives are changed, but it isent something that happens over night. Just because you accept christ doesn't make you a perfect person...

no doubt in my mind that vick is terribly sorry

that he got caught
that he'll lose money
that he'll go to jail
that he won't be playing football
that he doesn't have his bad newz kennels anymore

if he had to do it again, he'd take more time in making sure he didn't get caught. maybe take his deadbeat dads advice, and don't put the house in his name. or not kick out the other guy that ratted him out first. maybe he'd even use a less flamboyant name (joe smith?) to get herpes treatments next time.

but i doubt he's sorry he had fighting dogs. he's just sorry it's all over now.

I really did not think his handlers would take this approach.
Maybe he is sincere...
