Tomorrow it'll be Curlin.

I wish Hard Spun had been by Family Calling instead of Danzig.. Then he would actually have to do more.

i disagree. from bloodhorse:

Dan Pride of Darley said, "Street Sense and Hard Spun are the two most thrilling horses of their generation, each blessed with remarkable, exceptional gifts. They've achieved so much, and impressed so much, both in victory and also in defeat.

That to me means they are only interested in the top 2 most thrilling horses in the crop. Why would they want curlin, he's downright boring compared to those two!

I would hold off on saying that Hard Spun showed exceptional gifts until he actually wins a race of importance. Not saying that he isnt a good horse but it is getting crazy when horses dont even have to win races anymore before they are sent to stud.

I totally agree but I'd still want him over SS for breeding purposes. . .

I agree....Curlin is a bore....he really needs to improve his personality and try to be more thrilling.

Are you implying that the Pennsylvania Nursery Stakes is somehow not an important race?

Why, the winner of it has finished either 1st or 2nd in the Kentucky Derby 66.6% of the time throughout the long and storied history of that race!

Hard Spun's sire never had to win a stake race on the track--and he sure went big time! And besides....didn't you hear that Darley guy....he said he's "thrilling!" As others around here like saying so much.....he sure has done enough.

Slightly off topic-ish, but can anyone tell me if Princess Haya of Jordan (i.e. Shiekh Mo's wife) has any horses in training in the States??
