Well, I could do without the "awards" making fun of people...sad really! But is there any doubt that Melinda should be the Idol? Great job on two songs easily matching vocals with successful performers. Blake's beat box thing was OK, I guess...simply not my thing. Haley is still hot....!

OK, so I must be going tone deaf cause I actually enjoyed Sanjaya's performance...of course having Joe Perry jamming behind him helped! And Green Day is always great! Have I mentioned that Haley is still hot?

Great job by all on Sgt Pepper but Carrie Underwood is simply a fantastic singer...Kelly was quite good as usual but Carrie is in a class of her own I think, Rubin underwhelmed me and Taylor was nothing special...but again, wasn't Haley hot?

Jordin Sparks...American Idol! That restores some faith in the general public. I thought her poise during her last song was a thing to behold, she clearly was breaking down yet her voice remained true to the end...I really think she has a bright future!

You can't help but like Jordin and Blake showed real class throughout. Outside of the stupid awards and Joe Perry having to play guitar for Sanjaya I thought it was a really good show....Best performance of the night for me???
I thought that Blake and Doug E Fresh brought the house down....nothing like a trip down memory lane.....six minutes!!!!

I could not be happier. I feel so vindicated after last season. Getting to follow my favorite auditioner through the entire process was so much fun and I'm thankful that she never got the boot on one of her more nondescript performances from much earlier in the season!
