Default Anyone bet Penn National?

Anyone here bet Penn National? My Filly will be running there Friday night in race 6. She is the 9 horse, while this is not her distance I wanted to see if anyone was familiar with any of the other horses and give me a read on the race.

Thanks

Yeah it is Somer...

Good luck to your horse. Canterbury picks up their feed every night except Friday... I hate that, because I like betting that track... eventhough you have to write in post positions yourself in the DRF lol.

I use to attend every live card at Penn (actually worked on the backstretch years ago), I knew all the jocks (drank beer with them at the Winner's Circle Saloon across the road at the Holiday Inn) and 90% of the trainers. I really don't follow the track that much anymore, don't bet cause I'm not working so I don't want the pressure of "having to win". It's a nice little track, all the usual angles work...the low % jocks and trainers seldom win but watch for shippers.

I follow Penn quite a bit. I will take a look at the card and try to let you know anything I see.

The #4 horse is going to be tough. Rojas - Unishuay are a team that wins well at Penn, and Rojas seems to "magiclly" improve horses under her training methods.

The #8 horse can run at this level, and Martinez is a good trainer at Penn.

It looks like, what you said, your horse would prefer more then 6 furlongs, but against this group, you should be in the running. Suffolk horses run well when placed correctly at Penn. Katie Lee is one of the best jocks at Penn.

Penn National was the track that I actually saw the pick 3 that came on something like 55-1, 40-1 and the favorite and it paid $200. After that jocks were fleeing the country committing suicide...

I never bet it (anymore)

good luck

He should really enjoy running over the turf.

They just ran the 2nd on the turf and supposedly they ran the 4th quarter mile in 20.4. They went 3/4 in 1:14.3 and the mile in 1:35.2 and don't forget these were nw2l 10k cliamers.
