Default Silly question

Was wondering if you could do a tri quick pick with a certain array of numbers? Was thinking I'll take the top 12-15 horses in the Derby and do a bunch of quick picks and see if I can hit something.

Find your fourteen horses..put their numbers in a hat and create your own quick picks.

LOL

Why not just put all of the numbers in a hat, pick em at random and go and bet them?

Sorry... I think I was posting at the same time and took too long. Oops.

It'd be fun to do that kind of thing for shiats and grins, but I'd never throw away more than a few bucks on something like that. My family and I do something similar every year by putting all of the names in a hat and each drawing like 3 names... whoever has the winner gets $20 or something. It's just fun, but nothing to take seriously.

Hey, don't knock it. Someone hit 50 Gs a couple years ago and only did 50 $1.
Somebody has to win, might as well be me!

You know..its funny you say that because every year everyone gets fired up for one race and by the time you play Oaks/Derby doubles, exotics, favorite numbers, anniversaries, and then our real serious bets..its easy to have 2-3 hundred invested in one race. Someday, I'm just going to put $20 WP on the horse I like and call it good.

Nice Hat

With all the Curlin & Street Sense talk....you're Scat Daddy is the forgotten horse.
I believe the "Bykster" said today on ATRAB that he's had the most traditional route to the Derby.

You say that now...but, the closer we get to "post time" the worst the itch gets!

I'm itching already. I took Nick's advice and put $10 on Any Given Saturday.
It's my only future bet.

Wish I could just do the $20 WP... I'll normally spend a couple hundred on derby day, but I look forward to kissing that money goodbye. It's all in good fun.

I actually made a few bucks last year derby weekend because of my win bet on Barbaro... had Ermine to WIN, but didn't bet her WP.
