Default Drive and Painkiller Jane debut tonight

Been waiting for weeks for the Debut of Drive (8pm tonight on Fox), I really hope this show is as good as it looks...2 hour pilot tonight. After that, a regular episode of Blood Ties (10pm, Life Time) followed at 11pm by the Debut of Painkiller Jane on Sci-fi. Don't know much about Painkiller Jane except it's supposed to involve another attractive woman kicking butt...might as well check it out. Four hours of TV, I haven't seen any Tv all weekend except for the Blue Grass show, guess I can stay awake that long!

HA HA! I just finished setting up to record Drive. I will probably watch it tomorrow. I have to watch Brothers & Sisters. (THAT is a great show too which is why I always forget about Blood Ties.)

I actually enjoyed it. This was skeptical issue with me, and I believe the show delivered.

Buffy why did you have to tape? The shows are not overlapping.

I thought Drive was great! Fast paced with excellent introduction of the characters. The idea of a nation-wide illegal race is a bit far-fetched perhaps, especially the way some were coerced into participating but I thought Minear managed the plot very well. Love Nathan as always and the "crazy woman with the plastic baby" was great. Two hour pilot and the next episode is tonight (Monday) so Buffy has some catching up to do. If they can keep up the intensity, this show could make it...even on Fox.
Painkiller Jane was OK, I'll keep watching it for now to see how the plot develops.

I record everything and watch it later. I HATE COMMERCIALS! I actually ended up watching nothing. I just set up to record drive tonight.

Only drew a 3.7/6 last night...actually finished behind a rerun. Unless the numbers go up tonight, this show will be cancelled very quickly! Tim Minear continues to produce quality shows that have the lifespan of a fly!

hmmm! The fact that Fox is putting it on Mondays before 24, must of had a good test audience for the placement.

Somer,

My mom watched that Painkiller Jane and liked it. During the summer, I am going to have to catch up with this show.

OH, I don't know if you ever watched it but The Closer is coming back in June. THAT is a great show too. I can't wait for it to start up again.

Thank goodness, I hadn't even heard anything about it forever. That was one of my very favorite shows!

Painkiller Jane looks like it could be pretty good...not sure from the pilot but the main character is probably genetically engineered...it can go in a couple directions. being on SciFi Channel, it will probably take that path. Drive remains questionable as the numbers are low.

I haven't watched Drive yet. My husband wants to watch it so we will probably watch it tomorrow.

Well, three episodes of Drive have aired...overall, very good! Like the character development and the fast pace of the show, background music also excellent. Nathan has a past and a cool set of wheels!
Painkiller Jane also has potential. Watched second episode last night, lead character is very interesting...if they develop her character this will be an excellent show. I also like her narrative when used, it's s tricky device but so far they've gotten it right.
