Well I would go to the Arkansas Derby before the Bluegrass. You dont know how your horse is going to run on Poly. But I agree that Chelokee should go somewhere.

hopefully he will go somewhere that isn't already occupied by another horse... meaning can he get a clean trip for once
I know he likes to hang back a little but gimme a break. I don't know what is going to Arkansas. That track produces mroe winners or contenders than the Bluegrass lately

I'm sure Matz would want no part of running a well regarded 3yo back on two weeks rest.

I'd say it's 0.00% likely he runs Saturday. It's certainly possible that he could run next week in the Lexington, but I would think only if they are convinced they won't make the Derby, and want to use the race as a prep for the Preakness.

Pouring rain and thunderstorms on Bluegrass day.

Yes thats right, Matz would not force the horse to get into the derby. If he by some chance gets in the derby then he is MY PICK TO WIN IT!!

Chelokee is going to get in with the earnings he has. It looks like they will have a hard time finding 20 quality horses and right now $100,000 should get him in.

He will be overbet too.

Watch out for ly Dealer this weekend and then on May 5.

Honestly? Who says there'll be 20 in the starting gate three weeks from Saturday? Seems to be a ton of defections in '07.

I am not sure how overbet he will be. He should be 30-1 or more if he gets in the derby.

I doubt it. Maybe 20-1 at best. I would expect 15-1 on him. He is the wiseguy horse.

Exactly. He will get plenty of money in the Derby and even without being a stakes winner I think his chances are better than a number of horses who will be in the race.
