Default TVG poly

These buffoons on TVG finally commented how horrible the kickback was at TWP. I guess any idiot can see it if Shrupp noticed it. Hes got the racing eye of Ray Charles.

I think it is time to move on
you've discussed poly beyond
relevance

I don't see where you are harmed

did you have some turfway betting angle demolished by poly

just a constant harrang

Do we really need polytracks??? If we do, it should be on the surface that the horses train on rather than on the surface they race on.

Horses do workouts more than they race and it will better suit them if their is a training track that is poly like Fairplex and Santa Anita inner training track

Huh.....Another cancel, I guess I have walked this dog too many times. What a f'ing joke.

For the record four horses lost their footing at the break in the second race. TWP is running a winter training program like a stardard dirt track. They do not open the frozen Poly until 11.

I guess its frozen again, kicking back again, uneven again, dangerous yet again.

I caught that too. Schrupp said the horse was trying to close but the kickback killed the effort and Frank Lyons shook his head and said it was "a tough track to run over".

Yeah, and how fair is that crap to the bettors? Your horse stumbles on a frozen start and then the kickback beats the horses teeth out?

Poly needs to be permanently banned. It's been down now nearly 2 years at Turfway. It's been re-worked countless times. It is a defective product that they cannot fix and it should be banned.

It is such a JOKE

They keep coming up with more excuses, but what can they say with a 200 yard kickback? I mean I saw horses pulling themselves out of the race, jockeys ducking, horses stumbling. Over the last week at TWP there has been 1 published work. Keeneland hasnt opened thier crumby surface since the 3rd. Thats a week of training, a bunch of cancelled dates, and a lot of head scratching. All this on the heels of the best invention known to man, Polytrack. How many more retards have to rework this surface before they realize its not all weather. How many more excuses will Marty Collins and Keeneland give?

On an even more ridiculous note...How can Arlington still want to install this ****. If these racetracks put this stuff down in the face of all the problems TWP, Woodbine, and Keeneland have had, they are absolute morons.

A horse had its eyeball knocked out by kickback last night, and Maker had one breakdown yesterday morning.

A horse literally lost an eye to poly?

It's obviously unsafe to run on. Trainers scratch out of races all the time. If they tell you to run or leave. Choose leave.

Mountineer or Beula don't have poly.

I just got done watching TP replays and this track is a total joke. I don't think Arlington knows what they are getting into. Of course, they won't have to deal with racing in 15 degree temperatures. I'm not sure what was worse tonight at TP: the excessive kickback or the insane speed bias.

You know JJP, that kickback will be there also because it will be like 200 degrees once we get one of those 95 degree days. Excessive weather, like 100 degree heat or sub zero temperatures is what causes that, the dryness......That rubber better be heat treated. I agree with you. Arnold mentioned Keeneland so I am getting the feeling they are trying to pony off them.

I don't know what's happened to TP this year. I played the entire winter meet a year ago and while I saw some kickback, it wasn't as bad as tonight and I never saw TP as speed biased as it appeared tonight. Its as if the horse on the lead is on one of those moving sidewalks/peoplemovers you see at the airport.

I think they were trying to get too "cute" and messed with it too much. Now they've have many more breakdowns, bias issues as well as still having kickback problems.

I'm really wondering if this isn't Equitrack all over again.

whatever they did after the last meet only hurt, certainly didn't help at all.

and i'm going to arlington in july, i hope the track is ok....guess i'll get a firsthand view of the stuff.
