Satellite Award nominations

Well, the Oscar race has started and the nominations for the Satellite Awards were announced today, I'm more interested in a couple TV nominations of course, the International Press Acad. awards honor TV as well as the movies. I am so happy that a fine actress, Julie Benz received a nomination for her outstanding supportive actress role in Dexter...she and Michael C Hall (nominated as best actor in lead role in TV drama series) absolutely are brilliant in this show! BEST NEW SHOW OF THE YEAR! Since it's on Show Time I wasn't able to see it until Hooves and others posted links here to sites that have episodes...I have now seen the first 9 episodes and it is the creepiest show ever on TV! It has been renewed for a second season so hopefully Show Time won't mess up like they did with Dead Like Me and cancel something very special! Julie is superb as the "damaged" girlfriend and Hall as the serial killer is absolutely dead on creepy! For Whedonverse fans, Julie played Darla of course in both Buffy and Angel.
Other nominations I was happy to see were:
Dexter...best TV series, drama (goes up against 24, House, The Wire, Rescue Me and Heroes)
Emily Deschanel...best lead actress TV series, drama for Bones (can't believe they nominated her and didn't nominate David though)
Kristen Bell...best lead actress TV series, drama for Veronica Mars (should win but won't of course).

I should give a mention to Justice as "best new show" as well...no nominations but certainly rivals Dexter as the best of the new shows, I still haven't seen Heroes so I can't comment on it, from what people say...it could also be included!
