Default 65 Years ago, on this day

I was a bit surprised to find that 30% of college students don't know what happened on this day 65 years ago...Dec. 7, 1941, "a day that will live in infamy".
Lest we forget, and to honor their sacrifice, please take a moment to remember them.

first thing my boss said to me this morning..."I know everything i did from 2PM on, on this day 65 years ago"...he enlisted that day as soon as word came over the radio about the attack. He became a pilot and served in the pacific theatre. He still reunites with the few guys from his squadron that are still alive...they are heros, all of them.

Pais,
My Dad also served. He was an officer, two purple hearts...didn't talk about his experiences much. He served in the Phillipines, New Guinea, and other places. He has since passed away.
All of those brave men and women were heros. I started this thread because I wanted others to remember what they did for us.
If some posters take a moment of silence to pay homage, that's ok...but not nearly enough to recall what they gave. Heros all.

I wish I could say I was surprised...actually, I would have thought the number would be higher. We must always remember the sacrifices of "the Greatest Generation"...the blood of our fathers and grandfathers kept us free and erased a great evil from the world...Blessed Be!

May the ones who died at Pearl Harbor be remembered.

you were surprised?
guess you have not been in college for a while.
Im guessing 30% of college students dont know what day of the week it is.
anybody can get into college these days. its not exactly a mark of intelligence.

For me- it goes both ways. I know Pearl Harbor happened on 12/07/41, but I have trouble knowing what date it is on any given day. Like today, I know it's Friday. But Friday the what (date)? I know it's Friday, but knowing that it's Friday the 7th is where I get tripped up.

Have a good weekend y'all
-Pete
