Default Chief Officer

If you haven't heard about her, might be time to put her in your "stable alerts". She'll probably beat some KY breds before all is said and done.
Go NYBREDS!!!

ny breds really are not competitive. sorry but they are not very good. i would take KY, FL, CA over ny breds.

i have heard of them. 4 horses is not much to brag about. obviously KY breds are the best. FL breds are clearly second best. i will take best pal, tiznow, free house, officer, brother derek and the CA breds too over the NY breds. NY and CA are basically the same though. not much there.

Might just be a curious kid. I was one also.
Might be time for him to listen.

I meant no offense. We've had enough of those threads lately.
Just don't under rate nybreds. Many good horses have been born, bred and raced in NY.

i am not knocking ny breds. i actually just do not like how horses like fleet indian and funny cide are considered ny breds. their sires stand in kentucky. the state where a horse is bred is really not important though anyway other than to meet the conditions for state bred races. many of the ny bred races run at saratoga make me question exactly what is going on in terms of race fixing. some odd things happen in those races.

I have to agree with DTS. I horse that can run and win is a horse that can run and win. It doesn't matter where they are from at all...it's just a location. Back in 2003, I would have taken Funny Cide over all 3 year old KY breds.

Are KY breds better overall than NY breds...well of course. But, that certainly wouldn't keep me from buying a nice NY bred who was fast and could win or breeding good NY horses.
