Default Kagan's first Supreme Court ruling

against an execution because of questions involving the 'safety' of the drug that will kill him? Are you kidding me? Thankfully common sense prevails despite the Supreme Court's dingbat trio and Breyer.

And look at the efficiency shown by the State of Arizona. Guess the drug turned out to be 'safe' after all.

Too funny

Jeffrey Landrigan was scheduled to be executed Tuesday night for the 1990 armed robbery and strangulation of an Arizona man. Landrigan had escaped from an Oklahoma prison in 1989, where he was already serving time for second-degree murder.

Hours after dining on a succulent on-the-house last meal of steak, fried okra, french fries, strawberry ice cream and a Dr. Pepper -- the okra was to die for -- the convicted killer, as is customary, was given the opportunity to say a few final words before departing this mortal coil via lethal injection.

Following the execution, a prison official gave an account as to what exactly it was Landrigan decided to utter as the game clock of life was ticking down to double zeros.

"Well, I'd like to say 'thank you' to my family for being here and all of my friends. Boomer Sooner."

[tosses microphone]

[dies]

Quite the fan I'd say!

That is quite ironic. The safety of a drug meant to kill you!

It would be pretty ugly to have the sodium pentothal not work, while the paralytic agent worked just fine and you suffocated to death while concious.

That would serve the criminal right. The criminal didnt care about killing a person, why should they be given any pity.

I agree. But it would be terribly cruel. Enough anesthesiologists have done that over the years to have good descriptions from patients of how awful it is.

Especially since this guy was a saint, killing only 2 people (that we know of) and living on the tax payers dime, on death row for 20 years.

Go back to supporting your Muslim men!

Go back to hating your Muslim men! Because, you know, hating a religion publicly makes you really cool. Dissing people that don't hate a religion as you do makes you really cool, too, huh? And death row criminals makes you think of .... Muslims?

Funny, I'm in favor of the death penalty, but "taxpayers' dime" doesn't even figure into it. Strange you weigh your tax money and the victim's lives equally.

We can only do what science allows. Just because we can't guarantee perfection, shouldn't mean that the death penalty shouldn't be used. There really is no good reason why the Nightstalker is still alive. When ya see that sea of red next week, consider this, because there is a long-term cost for this extreme shyt (like this.)

O.K., I will show you how quickly one of these gang members will lie.

http://www.facebook.com/video/video....3893250&ref=mf

I showed this video to a Turk (friend of a friend) today.

Me: "LOL..Talkin' Shyt"

Bora: "man it's Turkish poem
it's good I think"

Me: 1:40 = "poem?" (part where skeleton head n' 2 swords appear)

Bora: "yeap I think but I don't like poems like this"

This makes it to the Supreme Court? Tells you all you need to know about the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. I hope this guy didn't get an infection from his injection!

It's pretty typical of all lawyers trying to keep their death row client alive, don't you think? They use anything, there are always stays, the stays advance quickly, they are overturned, the criminal is put to death. The stays nearly always advance out of the circuits to the Supremes because they are death penalty issues (who would want different Circuit courts establishing precedent)

They don't get to the Supreme Court very often for flimsy arguments like this. If they are against the Death Penalty PERIOD, they should just be honest about it and not just try to stop every single execution that they can for any reason imaginable. And I do mean imaginable. I would love to see the dissenting opinion.
