![]() I think it's easily the best move of a lackluster offseason for them. One year at the minimum is a bargain, even at Shaq's advanced age. They need someone who can defend in the post while Perk is out, and even when Perk comes back, Shaq still is better offensively than Perk is. Plus I'm open to just about anybody who can rebound the ball after what happened in the Finals.

![]() Obviously a desperate attempt to compensate for a missing Perkins body for at least the bulk of the regular season. Not a bad short term idea except for the Celt's brand of defense expected requires a hustling switching frenetic approach which Shaq hasn't been able to play since LA. He is fond of winning though and don't think both LeBron and Kobe won't be on the yielding end of lane collisions in 2011 courtesy of (new nickname) The Big Leprechaun. Hasn't this group of green earned a little respect yet over the last few years to justify a wait and see approach to how well they will do. |
