Default Life is Good

Sitting in my home office toward the end of a paperwork filled, slow horse-racing day with the news on. Russian plane crashes (awful stuff) ... Russian mathematician solves 100 year old math problem... That wacky Karr guy ... 7th grade teacher burns two U.S. flags in class (oh yeah, that was a good idea) ... U.S. Marines being involuntarily recalled, ... Max Mayfield predicts a mega-disaster hurricane (I'll take that after dinner drink now, thank you), ... Arabs/Israelis still not playing nice ... all the while I get to work at home with my dog a few feet away, ... and blow an hour of my day talking horses and other **** with like-interest people while my wife works hard at her office.

I'll make dinner. I'll walk the dog tonight. I'll clean the house (tomorrow).

I ain't got no complaints.

My life is good too. August is always my best month. Every parent is getting their childs car tuned-up for the off to college trip. Then of course I throw a few coupons their way for when the come back they get a discount and then if they get all A's and B's then when they are home for winter break they get a free oil change and winter tune-up.

I think I have to agree. Been kinda down the past week or so as this whole ordeal has been tiresome. Unemployed and not knowing where your next dollar is coming from is a bit scary.

But....I am living, breathing and walking pain free for the first time in 18 months. The greatest job in the world is waiting for me (not sure what or where it is...but I am staying positive) for when I am able to return to work. 1 week from today I return to my doctor for what I hope will be fantastic news. I got a family that loves me and the prettiest little Jack Russell Terrier in the world that adores and worships the ground that her dad walks on...

Thanks B....your right....life is good....alot better than the way others live...no doubt. I needed that eye opener my friend.

That's fine, but you have it damn good, so you don't have a job, big friggin deal, better off. I am going to be like bruce and play the ponies all day, cook and play with my dog, we both should be complaining that we don't have that life.

... and you are the MF king of Pinnacle matchups. But, WTF happened to Zukhov the other day? Thet's the one I blindly went with you on.

Good thread...

I will add, that life is good for me as well, I have been dieting, running, and lifting like a madman all summer, now the payoff, a week of relaxing and enjoying the beach, just hanging out with my wife. Get up, go for a run, sit on the beach read a book and then out for a nice dinner, I can't wait. The best part of the year is upon us, I love the Fall, the weather, Football. The Reds lead the wildcard and the Bengals look like they might make a playoff run again. We are all very lucky...

Just jumped on the wrong one...sorry B. I am usually selective about the ones I choose and If I don't have a strong feeling, I skip the matchup....I will do better....promise

Sounds like your handling your situation just fine, by the way, I just got a new Jack Russell Terrier puppy, replacing my dear old friend who unexpectedly passed away, I love these dogs, they are truly the clowns of the dog world. He makes me smile constantly!
