We rarely agree, but if you believe this horse$hit claptrap, you're even further gone than I had ever imagined....by a looooooong way.

timm's in the bunker, brian.

people in the bunker don't really see anything but the floor, ceiling, and 4 walls of the bunker.

nothing from outside the bunker can penetrate. if the world is a scary place to you, it's probably a nice safe feeling being down there.

my comments and yours are like giving the bunker a mean look. really mean. super mean. as mean as possible.

the bunker doesn't care. neither does timm.

which is why i long ago gave up serious discussion for naked mocking.

But like, "hey 'hi i'm god,' the teabaggers are threatening to kill Stupak, throwing bricks through congresspeople's windows, cutting gas lines to a congressman's brother's house because they're upset -- hey, I've got an idea...what if....wait, hear me out...what if, we could to go do some things that would make it look like the teabaggers are prone to potential violence -- like hey I've got an idea, let's threaten Stupak, throw bricks through congresspeople's windows, and cut gas lines of a congressman's brother's house because we're upset that they voted yes -- and while we're at it, we could probably try to break into a senator's office and tap her phones. You in?"

Oh wait. Nobody needs to go out of their way to frame the teabaggers as crazy, a little (being generous) out of touch with reality, and very prone to using violent words and imagery that their brethren are apparently taking a little too much to heart.

While you're at it god, frame me for being gay, ok?

Other than the Reichstag fire thing, I think it's right on target. The voters, spurred on by the liberal media, swallowed Obama hook, line and sinker. Now, to make their psychotic vision of the future come to fruition, they steamroll any honest appeal. Maybe the Libs are right.....then the public will have gotten what they asked for, and deserved.

I'm not sure that 'other than the most insane, most ridiculous, incendiary part of the article that renders every other word on the page a total laughingstock, it's spot-on' is how you want to approach backing that one up, Timm. It's obviously a right-wingers wet dream article, with just enough conspiracy theory and violence thrown in to get the mouth salivating.

Hardly a strong endorsement.

No reasonable person can be expected to politely overlook that part any more than I'd expect you to take seriously an article about the Iraq War that had one nifty little sentence tucked in it about how Bush started the war because he loves the taste of Iraqi children's blood.....oh, but come one! Outside of that one sentence, the rest is perfectly reasonable!

Lunacy discredits everything.

As soon as I get the rest of my two-million-man army recruited, we will strike and take back this country from the commies that have overrun our nation! Just go ahead and laugh! I already got three guys signed up and they have their own guns and bullets! AND--they are combat hardened! Just last Friday night two of them were forcibly ejected from a country & western bar over on university drive but not without putting up a heck of a fight. It took four-on-two to toss them out as it was! If Benny and Phil hadn't been so drunk, I seriously doubt those bouncers could have whooped them the way they did. Phil is especially a sorry looking sight today.

Baloney. The GOP lost. The ultra-conservatives are now the minority.

Over the past few years they lost the House, they lost the Senate, they lost the Presidency.

They lost the Healthcare reform vote in the House easily, they lost the Healthcare reform vote in the Senate by a supermajority.

They need to accept that in this country, the Democratic process, the freedom of living in a Democratic country, is living with what the majority of your fellow citizens have indicated they want.

Because the minority disagrees with what the majority wants doesn't give them any right to incite violence under the guise of politics.

Liberals are good at "marginalizing what they want to destroy, and this is why we elections. Sometimes there's healthy debate, somethimes not.
The reports of threats is unfortunate, but you people paint everyone with that broad brush....and negate any meaningful dialogue.
