i can say, without hesitation, that the long term future is blue.

so long as republican's remain focused on short term gain there's no hope for any serious reconstruction of what's essentially a failed ideology.

they're like the british conservatives after thatcher. it'll take decades of political defeat before the message gets through.

they'll likely pick up house seats in 2010 (what party out of the white house doesn't in off year elections?) and that'll only serve to empower the wingnuts.

they'll keep being an exclusive old white guy club until they finally figure out the country is getting younger and darker. we're a long way off from that.
