Default If You Could Have Dinner With One Horse Racing Personality

I know, this sounds sappy, whatever you wanna call it but I think its a cool question cause it may bring out some stories.

Me, hands down Steven Crist. Just reading a little about his life makes me wanna just sit back and let him talk for hours. I gotta believe he is one hell of a story tellergiven everything he has been thru and the characters he has been around.

I'm sure there's a better answer, someone who has been around longer etc, but I can't think of anyone I'd rather have dinner and talk about racing with than Janeane Edwards.

She seems so interesting to me and was an absolute picture of kindness when I met her covering the Million during workouts the day before it last year.

StoneGossard.

Even though he'd probably be less likely to pick up the check than many others.

You are one to talk about being cheap Mr. " I go to Subway 5 min before close to get a stale hero at 1/2 price".

After reading the great work he has done on here I would like to spend time with Freddymo.

If your name is (insert hot filly/mare here) , I'm sure he can arrange that.

Please - the only way to get half price on a $5 sub at Subway is to bring no money - and only have $2.50 left on your Subway card.

You have them make up the sub for you - all the fixins - and when you pay ... cough up the card. They will tell you how much you're short ... and you give a puzzled look and say "wait, u mean I didn't get the card that had $15 left on it? ... ooops .. grabbed the wrong card .. (sad face - puppy dog eyes - turn empty pockets up) ... I live just a couple miles away, I can go get it?" Even the toughest of sandwhich artist chick will cave in and say "don't worry about it! Have a nice day (big smile)"

That's how you get it done man.

It wouldn't be Tom Durkin, as I'd actually like to have some of the food.

Andy Beyer.

I'd like to have a nice meal with Ryan Barber and Jason Lumpkins at the same table.
