Default Important thing to look at......

I think the Gallop out after a race is a very underrated and feel we should discuss who people think will have the best "gallop out" after the wire in The Derby. This could be huge in determining The Preakness winner. Please feel free to predict who will have the best gallop out. I am working on creating "gallop out figures" and plan on using them as a handicapping tool in my arsenal.

I am hoping to get some feedback from people on here, especially the person responsible for starting the thread 2 weeeks before The Derby on whether or not we will have a sloppy track for The Derby.

A good gallop out includes cigarettes and staying around for an hour or so to cuddle.

Default Galloped-Out

From my understanding the instructions from a trainer to jockey has more bearing on this factor, such as an extra work after race for stamina, or if horse has been idle for a while, and needs extra work. I still think it's due to the condition of the brake shoes like Dunkirk's problem(..lol just kidding) we need to ask Chuck Simon he would know more about why horses do this.

This is reminiscent of a scene in "Kingpin".

If a horse gallops out well past the wire with his ears prciked , does it lower his dosage number?

the fourth place horse will have the best gallop out. but he'll skip the preakness in order to be fresh for the belmont. this will anger those betting this angle, especially if the gallop out winner is a sprinter/miler type. they will wail and gnash their teeth while raging that said horse will not be able to benefit from the 'tight turns at pimlico'.

Jazil's entire career was one big bounce of a high gallop-out figure, so yes.
