![]() I wonder how possible it is that we could see these two go up against each other on all three surfaces. Cocoa Beach ran HUGE yesterday into slow fractions and ran down a grade 1 mare on the lawn(Can't believe no one has mentioned this performance) and there is no reason Zenyatta couldn't run huge on the turf also. Really good to see them returning for next year, just hope that they face each other more then once (BC Ladies Classic)
You don't see Sheriffs ship East very often though, which I would assume, is where Cocoa Beach will be. |

![]() Zenyatta is bred really well for turf. Especially on the bottom, being ou of a Kris S mare. Would be one of the few ways to increase her value is if she won a G1 on turf.

There is a good 4+ year old races for fillys on both coasts though and if both of them show up in the same race, it will be a four horse race IF. CB was just awesome yesterday though, if you saw the race, a couple times it just looked like she was going to hang but she dropped her head and just took off, and her gallop out was almost even better then her race... |

I think Bejarano blew this race. He could've maintained the same advantage going slower (especially the 3rd split) as there was no real threat from the horses closest to him - the threat was from the closers- and had a little bit left for the finish. Note the splits in the chart. P.S. thanks for the opportunity to actually discuss a race. |

![]() I think I read that Cocoa wont be sent to Dubai this winter, which should make her an active horse for the 1st half next year in the States!

![]() These charts are just the graph of the results charts (in PP format -- length behind the leader at a split rather than the horse ahead of a given horse). The numbers on the right are: program number; gate number; position at the break.

Thanks for asking that.......I thought I was the only one who didn't completely understand TFM's charts. Thanks Fatman for taking the time to explain it. Last edited by 3kings : 12-01-2008 at 08:38 PM. |
