As of Wednesday, both Viscount and Hello Broadway were probable for the Remsen. Anyone know why they didn't enter?

In the Remsen I'll box Old Fashioned with American Dance

Take Strom Play in the Cigar Mile

Pick 3 (beginning with the Demoiselle): Sky Diva/ Old Fashioned - American Dance/Storm Play

Mike, please don't bet Storm Play. He may be the least likely winner on the entire card.

Yeah, wow - very nice indeed!

(but I'll still watch for more Pletchers' slow-maturing babies, and the Smart Strike colt - it's early yet)

Any news on the filly?

Wanderin Boy was euthanized per Bloodhorse. He had a previous sesamoid injury at 1 month. Not sure if it's the same one.

http://news.bloodhorse.com//viewstory.asp?id=48243 (updated)

Quote:
His owner and breeder, Arthur Hancock III of Stone Farm, had bought a season in Seeking the Gold, to whom he would breed his Pleasant Colony mare Vid Kid, a stakes winner of almost $300,000.

Vid Kid produced a beautiful foal on April 4, 2001, but on May 3, the one-month-old colt somehow fractured his sesamoid while out in the field.

Racing is a great, but at times brutal, game. Nobody wants to see any horses get injured, but it happens, though today was extra tough.

Seeing Wanderin Boy go down like that is about as tough as it gets in racing.
