Italy, Sunday

San Siro: Premio Carlo Vittadini (Group 2) 1m

IRELAND'S King Jock recorded a shock victory in Milan for trainer Robbie Osborne.

Sent off a shade over 21-1 for the Premio Carlo Vittadini (formerly the Emilio Turati), the seven-year-old was brought with a steady run up the far rails by Robbie Burke to take over from Gris de Gris and Sopran Promo about one and a half furlongs out.

Eustachione, who did not have a clear run when trying to close, stayed on for second, three-quarters of a length behind the winner and half a length in front of French-trained favourite Gris De Gris.

Osborne said: “The going was a bit dead, exactly as it was for his previous win in Ireland.

“We are travelling home via Chantilly and we'll see how he is when we get there.

"If everything is going well, he could run next week in the Prix du Chemin de Fer du Nord on Sunday.

That's surprising.

These Dubai runners sure do pop up in some interesting spots.

Caesar Beware won at Belmont yesterday at a decent price as well.

Rosberg didn't do much at Churchill though.

Wasn't this like his 50th start, Brock?

Something like that.

God I love it when the ones who don't win much do it.

Bet the connections are glad they couldn't sell him now.

No one wanted him.

He showed them! YEA!!!
