Default Well.........KEV

We were both right.I'm right(he has hit for them,) but he did lose his f'n mind today. Can you believe 50 year old Bud Black can even hurt him.No matter what, this all took place for one reason.Milton does throw bats after he strikes out.He can blame all of it on the umps, but fact is the umps don't like this guy throwing bats and showing them up(or just being an ass..in general.)Did he throw a bat at the ump? No,but the guy does throw bats too close to people, and today it caught up with him.

I actually can't say I see him as a cancer.Until this weekend,he had been helping this team, and I thought they were the most mentally tough team that was up for the wildcard.Remember now,he and Frank Thomas were the offensive engine that got the A's TO THE A.L.C.S. last year. Then,he was about the only Oakland player that didn't choke in that series.Until that series came about, that was the best chemistry I've seen a team have in a long time. So,he isn't a cancer on a team.Far from it.He has improved a lot at the plate too.He was power,or nothing for the Dodgers. He hasn't had an incident like this in a while,BUT he does still do a lot of little things when he gets angry(I have seen him throwing bats a lot.)He needed to work on this, because it was only a matter of time until somebody got pissed off about that. The 2nd thing that went wrong was he affirmed a statement made by a fan about an umpire. You just can't do that. The umpire probably said some stuff he wouldn't of otherwise said. So,there were 2 things Milton did that caused this, and for him to say he did nothing wrong is absurd.I think with other people it's the blowing up part that is most controllable. With Milton,I think it can really only be controlled by getting rid of the precursor stuff(cuz once that top comes off,he is gone...nutso completo.)One thing I know though is that pro sports is about 1 thing...Winning.This guy can hit.I'll take him on my team.I sure will take him in the 2nd half...duh...I really don't think he is gunna do anything on the field to seriously hurt anybody.Himself? Obviously, but remember that he didn't take a shot at Bud Black.I guarantee you if he was really as dangerous as people think, then he would have done whatever it took to get Bud Black off him(including hitting him.)I think he has obvious anger problems, and that's ugly.I just don't think he is dangerous.Without all those teammates to tackle him? Maybe...I think he is more of a mental case than a thug. This guy is an emotional guy. It's a problem.I have a lot more problem with guys like VICK(who really quite often don't feel much of anything....not really.)

Remember, that ,if San Diego makes it to the post, then that will be 3 out of 4 years that the teams he has been on have made it to the post.If you really want to know who is a bit of a cancer, take a look at Jeff Kent.He gets o.k. stats(when the game isn't on the line etc.,) but believe me he is not good for chemistry.Sure,if he was on the 77/78 YANKS,OR THE '74 etc. Oakland A'S,then maybe they would still win,but it would be despite him(and his motorcycle-cop simple mind.)

Yeah, just like last years final week n' a half.He is pretty good in GARBAGE TIME.Not nearly as good in August, and the 1st part of September(when they needed it last year, and same this year.) Either he doesn't like the heat and/ or the pressure of the race in August.Actually I think it's the heat.He was great the 1st game after the break last year(it was Tampa..of course,)
but the following Wednesday he got destroyed(didn't last long at all) on a hot day game in Anaheim.Did so-so the rest of July, but he was torn apart in August, and destroyed in 1st inning against Texas (with 2 weeks to go in season.) They had to have that game against Texas. They had to keep the deficit behind the A's at the same #,or there simply wasn't gunna be any reality of a race existing.Hot day in Dallas, and they ripped him up.He padded his #s the last 2 starts (after the Texas mess.)He is pretty good when the race is decided.
