Default Bad Trips

Its time to look for them.
That was really easy as it comes for a very good horse. Ran a very short, smart race.

My longshot Great Hunter, initiated contact about 4 different times coming from the 20 hole. Got to look at the race again to find some others that look like they might have run well with tough trips.

Good horses make good trips.

Maybe now, these clowns that choose outside instead of inside will rethink their position.

Good horse but I cant believe he got a hole to open up like that.

Pgard, I was pissed Nakatani didn't wait longer. He took Great Hunter so wide. But what can ya do?

Zanjero was on the rail in front on Street Sense. Brigdemohan took him off the rail just a little and his path got blocked. If Zanjero stays on the rail, he doesn't win, but he's maybe 3rd or 4th instead of 12th, because he had to completely check and then try and turn it on again.

The shot from above shows the seas parted. Just amazing.

Oh heck yes, he absolutely flew. But that hole closes and he runs up a number of anuses and that would have stopped that tremendous momentum.

The horse is clearly patient and has a great turn of foot. But guys that took racing luck as well.

Closers always need a bit of luck...but SS won't have to negotiate 19 horses in Maryland...field will be 10-12 at most and that will benefit him.

As others have said, horses tend to drift out on the far turn as well as the stretch...Calvin rode Street Sense much like the Shoe rode Ferdinand...good horses tend to get good trips and good jocks make good choices...great job! The Preakness should be a good race, Curlin overcame a bit of a rough trip to finish well and Hard Spun has a motor...disappointing for Nobiz and Pletcher!
