Default Mayweather vs Da La Hoya May 5th

I hate that it happens to be on Derby Day but It'll be an exciting day to say the least. Home town track will show the fight on a 25 x 25 screen but I'm having friends over to grill down on the BBQ. I have PBF winning in a UD in 12 rounds. Lots of Mexician friends looking to lose lots of money on this one with me. They're giving me PBF in 12 rounds Vs Hoya by KO. I think PBF will not get KO'ed so I'm looking to bet around a $500 on that with them.

Save your money,PP! Unless you're really into boxing....I think you could get round by round updates at latimes.com/sports.

The people on ESPN boxing message board will give you a summary of each round. Some of them are really good, some not so.

My whole neighborhood is starting to fill up with cars. I know its Cinco de Mayo, and I know I live in San Antonio (its good to know where one lives); But this is for the fight. Lots of folks here love boxing.

Yet another snooze of a fight. Maybe sooner or later we will stop getting these PPV BS fights. I bet UFC had a big grin after that.

Just watched the replay. A rematch would be absolutely awful. Floyd is so much faster, and their styles just dont work. Oscar at this point is just way too cautious and he has to be because he is so much slower. No way. And Floyd needs to stay in the game to go down as fighter to be remembered. He has never had it tough. Bring on Floyd and Sugar Shane.

Someone has the punch ratio broken down and something like 83 power punches land...as PBF had around 200...so much for Oscar feeling he didn't lose! And his explantion for not using his best punch(ie left hook) was lame!

I wouldn't mind a re-match.

pg, you mentioned Oscar being cautious...but, cripe, Floyd will throw one punch than run...only near the end did he stand in there when Oscar was pushing it all night long.
THis is PBF's MO. He is a great defensive fighter with a bit of snap. I love to watch him. He slips punches as well as any fighter I have seen. Oscar is a true fighter. But he is older and wiser. He has no desire to risk getting hurt.
I really want Floyd to get pushed though. I think he can be hit by the right type of fighter. I just want to see him rocked in a fight and show he can get through. Chavez in his prime would have hit him. But he is gone.

You gotta love Oscar...I mean, he has fought just about every top fighter he could. I used to dislike him, but he is a true sportsman.
Oh ya..the guy who cries like a baby everytime he loses....and threatens to sue.

What a nimrod.

If it wasn't for sports, who would root for a NIMROD?
