Default hemingway's key & bernardini

wow after hemingway's key truly brilliant performance today i have to take back all of the disparaging things i said about bernardini and his competition last summer.
considering that bernardini had to tangle with that superstar multiple times, he really must be the greatest horse in the history of the universe.

what is the point of this post ? did you bet hk, and now your upset and had to post something ? if bernardini were still in training he'd easily be one of the top 3 horses in the world, i dont even consider hk a good horse

You're acting like Hemingway's Key ever got within a pole of Bernardini.

i think he was closer to bernardini than he was to istan today (he finished last over 18 lengths behind). i guess it is time for those "just give istan HOY now" threads to start popping up. isn't that what happens when you soundly defeat hemingway's key?

Yeah, because it was only after he beat Hemingway's Key that those threads started popping up.

I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that you had a dime on Invasor in the Breeders' Cup. If you really made such a killing off being "right" about Bernardini, why would you feel the need to make a thread like this four months after the horse retires, when no one is even discussing him? It sounds like you feel a hell of a lot more bitter than you do vindicated.

avance,
Yes Bernardini's competition last year was quite poor.
Yes he was extremely overhyped.
The problem is, that would be true if HK won today, or finished last today, or scratched today, or covered a mare today, or made sweet stallion-on-stallion love with War Emblem today. What he did today has nothing really to do with anything that happened last year.
You said you want to take "every reasonable opportunity to rip this horse." Fine, but this wasn't one of them.
