Default WELCOME: 100 newcomers

Not sure what prompted today's influx of new Derby Trailers, but.. Welcome.

Nearly 50 today alone and another 50 the previous 5 days.. Hope some of you will take a moment to introduce yourself. I can see by some of the Email addresses there are a number of horse industry and education connections...

Needless to say, I'm pleased you've joined, know you'll be warmly greeted, and hope you'll contribute...

Welcome newcomers. Holy smokes they're coming in over the transom!
Where is this invasion coming from?

Okay, lets see if every new person can make at least one post one here today. Tell us why you're here or something about yourself.

We're all curious.

My brother used to smoke those. Smelled great. I think they are worse for you than regular cigarettes, however...I'd smoke a pipe someday even though I've never even smoked a cigarette before. Something about smoking a pipe....Cigars are gross. Hate them, even outdoors at Toga.

I just found this forum via the ESPN forum. I am from Hopkinsville, KY. I've been around horses since I was about 4 years old. My grandparents owned a couple of horses and they mainly raced at Ellis Park. Needless to say that when you grow up around the horses...it's in your blood for life!

Glad to be here!!!

I freely admit I joined to see the Azeri photos. Until the link was posted in another forum I didn't even know this one existed. I've explored it a little bit and it looks like a neat place. I'll not be contributing much but look forward to visiting.

I've been a fan of thoroughbred racing since 1980 and Genuine Risk's Kentucky Derby. I love to see the horses run.

Newby here. I found the site searching for a Derby Trail website to track the 3-year-old races.

I've been looking for a real horse racing/handicapping community like this for almost a year and happy to have found it.

Didn't even think about racing until I was 22. Fell into it with some friends one night at Mohegan Sun's great racebook.

Five years, one Kentucky Derby and 4 Saratoga Summers later I could not imagine NOT following the sport on a daily basis. And I count down the days until Saratoga every day.

And yes...I did love Andromeda's Hero. Sad, but very true.

With his retirement, I'm looking for my NEXT horse.

Thanks for letting me be part of this great community.

Glad you found us!

Hopefully you're aware you're probably in for some ribbing over Hero

Not that I'm one to talk, my favorite racehorse in the entire country used to be a $2500 claimer who ran in Northern California and then at Portland Meadows who couldn't clear his NW3 condition if it were a match race.

Unfortunately, he dropped dead right in front of me on a Monday afternoon, and I haven't found a new favorite since.

Oh, about 85 of those 100 are just new trolls I've signed up. When I have more time tomorrow, I will whip-up an introduction thread for them.
