Default 2010 Derby Personal Seat Licenses

The past 2 years I have had a PSL for seats in Section 222. With the fall meet now over, I called the Churchill Downs Premium Seating office this morning at 502-636-4447 to inquire about mailing of PSL invoices for the 2010 Derby.

They informed me they were no longer offering PSLs in this area (I assume the 2nd Floor Grandstand) and that they would take my request to keep my seats (with a higher face value for the ticket and no PSL fee). I guess my PSL was for a 2-year term and the contract is over. They mentioned there were PSLs available in other areas.

I wonder if anyone else here had a PSL the past couple years and whether they will be able to keep their seats (especially if they were in the 2nd Floor Grandstand). The PSL brochure on the kentuckyderby.com website still shows PSL availability in the 2nd Floor Grandstand. When it comes to Derby seating, it seems like Churchill is always changing their policies and availability.

It is getting to be cheaper to just do an "IEAH" and buy yourself a Derby contender in order to get access to the good seats without PSL's.

For 3000 a pair I seat in the 300's well inside the 1/16th pole..That isnt horrible considering the event. Sat with Winstar the C. John year and there crew. Its the Derby when are they going to earn 11.17?

I'm opposed to PSL's in any sport. It's another way to gouge the ticket holder.

You shouldn't, because a ton of people did that when the Bears went to it and almost every single person regrets is because of how much that PSL is worth now, compared to what they wanted you to pay then

And that is the ridiculous Bears

I had a PSL the past two years in Section 124. I called them a couple weeks ago to find out the status and they said the two year deal was not an option any more. They did try to sell me another PSL though for a one time fee of $60,000. I declined.

Did anyone with PSLs or tickets the last 2 years in the 1st or 2nd Floor Grandstand get a ticket invoice yet for the 2010 Derby?

Everyone stands on the bleachers for the big races anyways so you can see the races. Because of all the people, you can only see what is in front of you, and in that area, you turn around to watch the race on the portable big screen

I have sat in Sections 128, 126, 123 and to be honest it's not really the section, its more how close you are to the rail. All sections are fine up to the finish as you get to see them pass by twice. I have had 123 along with my friend Drag66 and it's right in front of the huge tote board. If you do get 128, 127, 126 just try to get up to rows A-K
