The Northern Dancer looks like a great race for Chelokee. He's been really well placed.

I have a thought. It's a shame this field has been assembled for a Grade I.

Go Zanjero!!!!!

I kinda like Wiggins in the Foster, but haven't really studied the PP's yet, so that's NOT my final answer.

As for the Northern Dancer, one word...

ZANJERO!

Wiggins is the worst horse in the race save the rabbit. It's really not even close.

I think this is a pretty legite G1. Esp. when U consider last years running.

It is a reflection of the handicap division IMO.

Magna's nothing special. . .

The two most likely winners are Diamond Stripes and Master Command. . . Wanderin Boy or Flashy Bull wouldn't totally shock me either . . .

Northern Dancer - potentially nice payout here. I want to beat Chelokee here, but I am worried that Dominguez steals the race again from the front end. The track shouldn't be as kind to speed as Preakness day, but as much as I want to beat Chelokee here that is my primary worry. Do you guys see another horse to control the pace and keep Dominguez from being 3 or 4 ahead at the top? I don't think Chelokee has a chance from off the pace. Velazquez will probably be tracking Chelokee with Sam P.
Nakatani is up on Tsali? I don't like Tsali here, but Tsali stretches out from 7furlongs, and maybe Nakatani tries to be smart and ends up opening up the race for Prom Shoes, Sam P. and maybe looseleaf or zanjero???

This is an interesting race. It doesn't exactly stack up as a great G1 field, but it seems like a good betting race to me.
After looking briefly at the past performances, (http://www.drf.com/row/pps/07stephenfoster.pdf) I think I like Diamond Stripes.

At first glance, I like Master Command & Flashy Bull. Maybe an exacta box.

I like Diamond Stripes and really hopes he puts on a big performance. Another contender is needed amongst the ranks.
