Default Something Is Happening To Me........

I have noticed this off and on for the last couple of months. I have been following Horse Racing for 4 years now, 2 of those 4 fairly close, the last 2. This past year I have read this site every day as well as drf.com, bloodhorse.com, etc etc.. Anyways, my point,

As I scan thru the entries for a days card on equibase, drf whatever, I am finding more and more that I am recognizing many of these Horses from days wagered gone by - and what really strikes me is that I remember many of the races and certain things about it.

Just thought I would post this cause I can only imagine what it must be like for those who spend hours upon hours day in and day out 5, 6 ,7 days a week capping, playing and making notes. I must admit, here recently it has made me feel better when it comes time to play some of those races where a horse is entered that I remember from races gone by.

I am really glad that I have started to take notes after each day that I play cause lord knows my memory is far from great, but it does feel good, from a confidence standpoint, to be able to recall from memory certain things about a horse without seeing the PP's. If there are any players out there that read this and are similar in experience like me and you are not doing this (taking notes), I would recommend it.

After a race that I've taken interest in (ie: a potential play back), I print out a copy of the results chart and make my notes on it (and that way I've got all the other info regarding the race)... I then keep it in a file alphabetized by the horse that I was interesed in for easy reference. I also put the horse in my stable mail so when I'm alerted, I just pull the file to refresh my memory and see if I think it's still a playable race... my memory isn't as good as yours so I need all the reminders I can get.
