txs all. i just watched On the Muscle. this shows mandella's training, but he never mentions frequency of gallops or breezes.

If the horses are doing well, most trainers pretty much gallop them every day. After a race, most trainers will just walk the horse for a few days. Then they will jog for a few days and then they will start galloping again.

u must be on the west coast. where i am horses are lucky to see the track more than three times a week. twice a week is common. of course, they walk them forever, and they are always very well bathed.

I am not sure where you are exactly ratherrapid, but most trainers get their horses to the track everyday, they may walk after a breeze and/or race, but most trainers have their horses gallop daily.

maybe things are changing. ive last been to the track regularly in '03--midwest, woodlands, prairie meadows, eureka, lincoln. so, im reading what ur saying. i don't really "know". but, what i see is few horses being galloped regularly here. its getting hard to find riders, and also, think training is a little different here in general than on the coasts.

At the smaller tracks, you have a lot of cheap claiming horses that are really sore and broken down. These horses aren't going to gallop every day. Even here in Southern California at Hollywood Park, Del Mar, and Santa Anita there are a lot of sore and broken down horses. These horses don't gallop every day. I was only referring to sound horses.
