Default Weigelia - $17.40

How many people were like me and didnt bet this horse at 7-1? I totally missed this horse at Calder. He had 6 wins from 15 starts at Calder going into the race. Granted he was 0-3 on off tracks, but 7-1 on this horse was very nice. I totally missed this one and I am sort of mad at myself for not even looking at this race.

I had him in a winning Exbox. I really wanted to bet against Nightmare Affair there. The 1 ran second at 3-1. Ex paid $90. I also had the 3 in my box at 11-1. He got nosed for 2nd.

This was about the only thing I did right on Saturday.

Not only did I not bet him at 7-1 but I tossed him from my Pick 4 and hit the other three legs. I convinced myself he couldn't go 7 furlongs. Looks pretty stupid now.

That stinks. How deep did you go in that leg?

Weigelia only missed the tri once this season, all over the country and I didn't have him either. Of course, the "miss" was his last start and was wondering if his long campaign and all the travelling was getting to him. he's a very nice horse.

That stucks. I could have gone all and still not have Devils Preacher.

Trombetta joining us on ATRAB today at 6pm... And I'm going to have to admit that i took a pass on him too Saturday. The track was playing very well for what he does best, and he loves it at Calder. Cost me the P4 as well. (And I really felt like a schmoe as someone who's close to and a big fan of everybody connected to Weigelia..)

Bishops Court Hill was another huge play. I have put him up before as a 5* wet track horse. Outside post sealed the deal one turn @ Aqu.
No need. I swept the card and finished the weekend off by taking down the Pick 6 at Hollywood on Sunday 5 times.

Livin' the dream!!! Whooo!!

Steve, I was reading your selections for the race and I couldnt believe you didnt have him in your top 4. I thought maybe he scratched with the bad weather. This horse has beaten me more times than I'd like to remember, but thankfully I wasnt playing this weekend, because I wouldnt have used him either.
