Oracle80's Ingenious Prognostications
I have gone back and compiled a list of a few of Oracle80's sports predictions since the beginning of the year. Truly the work of a master! Enjoy!
On the USC Notre Dame game: I've watched them play twice now and man, I just don't get it. What the hell is it that anyone has seen from them that makes em think this team belongs in the same sentence with national champ? They aren't much on offense, and solid but not great on defense. Booty's cage is easily rattled as well. Notre Dame doesn't have any business in the title game either, but there inly loss was to a great Michigan team, and they are battle tested this year winning hard games on the road already. Notre dame wins this one. Result: USC wins by three touchdowns On the Giants-bears game: Scav with the flex schedule we already know its gonna be the 8:30 game. I've got tickets and will be going down to watch the Giants kick the Bears ass in the Meadowlands. Gonna be a showdown. Result: Bears win by three touchdowns World Series Predictions: I don't see how the winner can't come from the American League, I really can't. You and I both watch the AL all year long and watch all the teams when they play the Sox and Yanks. I don't watch much NL throughout the year, but in watching the playoffs they look nowhere CLOSE to the talent level in either pitching or hitting that the AL teams have. I'm not counting the A's out yet. 7 game series enable a team to play a couple of bad games and get back on track. But whether its the Tigers or the A's I don't see the World Series taking longer than 5 games. Result: NL team St Louis wins World Series More Baseball predictions: Yanks will clobber Detroit Expect an offensive explosion tonight, this one could get ugly early Result: Yankee bats shut down and they lose to Detroit. Dont Forget the playoff grid: Finally all set in playoffs!! can't wait! Yanks-Tigers. Yanks in a breeze. Twins-A's. A's in 5 Mets-Dodgers Dodgers in 5 Pads- cards Pads in 5 Yanks-A's Yanks in 6 Pads-Dodgers Pads in 7 Yanks- Pads Yanks in 5 Back to football Atlanta-NO monday night football showdown: Very happy for the people of New Orleans for getting back a team they have supported through mostly bad times. I'm not real optimistic about their chances tonight(their defense is gonna have fits with Vick) but I'm real glad for the folks down there. Result: Vick is shutdown and Atlanta loses by a bunch Notre Dame Again Its gonna be a long year for you guys. I told you before the season started that this team is the goods. Defense is much better than I thought they would be and the offense is only going to get better, which is scary.Good luck rooting against them this year. If the Irish get by Mich St at Mich St in a few weeks, you can count on seeing them in the National championship game. Result: ND defense horrible and they lose to Michigan and USC by a bunch. There are plenty more but i ran out of time. We are in the presence of a true master. Thank you Oracle for enlightening us with your vast sports knowledge.
