Venue Thoughts for December 12
It appears that the best racing in the country this Saturday will be at Gulfstream Park as they begin their championship meet. A number of the top jockeys have moved their tack South for the winter - just watched today's GP feature in which the jockeys in the super were Irad/Saez/Jaramillo/Tyler G.
Saturday's card includes the Rampart, the Sugar Swirl, the Harlan's Holiday, the Ft. Lauderdale and the My Charmer. I'll post the official venue once I've had a closer look at the entries and figure out which races to play. The full 11 race card seems to be a bit too much. Just wanted to provide everyone with a heads up.

Let's play Races 1-10 at Gulfstream Park, finishing with the Ft. Lauderdale S. I don't think that anyone should mind skipping the maiden claimers in race 11.
The festivities get started at 12:05 PM Eastern time. By the way, if anyone wants to get a head start on handicapping Gulfstream, they have a fun contest every Friday during the Championship season. It's called Beat the Expert and requires you to pick more winners than one of the track handicappers [I think that this week it will be Jason Blewitt]. Picks must be posted on a specified place on GP website before first post. All of those who actually beat the expert are entered into a drawing for a Gulfstream polo shirt. Three are awarded each week. Winners are announced at the beginning of their race preview program on Saturday.
