Default 89 degrees and humid = cancel racing on Haskell Day?

I'd love to know how many times the temperature was above 90 degrees at Gulfstream in the past 365 days and racing wasn't cancelled? This seems a bit of an overreaction to what is occurring out west. Just a shame if this day is not allowed to move forward.

I also need to figure out how to change my handle because after that interview, I have new fondness for him.

Thank goodness this craziness came to an abrupt end.

An abrupt end it is. To understand the situation, you can stay from 1:30pm until 6:00pm (the new stakes post time) if you want to see any more racing. The stakes races will, as a result, take place in front of an empty grandstand.

Now, if you could roll back time just one day, tell me that Monmouth would not have rathered pushing the entire Haskell Day card back to Sunday? Their biggest day of the year has been scuttled.

I would like my new handle to be MuchLuvForDraz

Dennis Drazin speaks for 5 minutes on TVG going through the events of the day very calmly while every ounce of his being clearly indicates his true feelings of “This Is Bullshit”.

It is currently hotter at both Arlington Park & Prairie Meadows. Both currently running.

Nothing worse than having to succumb to pressure of the squeaky wheel.

Drazin has looked like a clown every step of the way. Monmouth should take a bow, they made TSG look good today

UPDATE: Haskell has been postponed to 8:05 p.m. ET. Today’s NBC Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series Show will now feature a Haskell Preview from 5-6 p.m. ET. You can watch the Haskell live on TVG and nbcsports.com.

I really like Gabby (despite moving to TVG from NYRA/FS2/MSG) and Scott, but the remote that was just aired on TVG from Monmouth was simply depresssing. There was no one - well, perhaps single digits - left in the grandstand area. What an incredible turn of events today.
