![]() I made $100 bet to show with 2 minutes to post on Accelerate only to get a Bet Error from TVG site. Tried 4 different times each time decreasing my bet amount. Why offer the bet if you aren't going to honor it .

![]() I have to use TVG in PA and use it on the internet and have found there is "lag" and time differences. I maybe watching TVG on my computer or TV and it may be delayed. Made me crazy at first, but learned about it. I go in about 5 or 4 min to post, no less. Not ideal, but it what it is.

![]() More I thought about it, when we were at the track the MTP was almost bible. Now it's different. We are all connecting different. I just have to make sure I bet with enough time. Easy adjustment. It may say 5 min and it's really 1 min.
It's the new environment. Actually it's getting so much better. This NYRA thing is awesome. I an AT Saratoga (and Belmont) every day. i remember the old days my father and I would drive to Belmont. We had no simulcasting. We didn't go to bet, we went to see. We play ADw internet betting and always make sure we subtract 5 minutes from the TV and internet. TVG on TV is delayed. NYRA Live is fantastic. Is it perfect ? No, but it is getting better by leaps and bounds. I think it is exciting. If we look over the last 25 years, NYRA has gone through a lot of awful stuff. Regardless, the future should look well. Belmont is fantastic, whatever they do, they should preserve and enhance the current experience. |

![]() I go to Monmouth in the summer and for the last 4 weeks sometime during the day if I bet from my phone I will get the bet error message and to call them....a couple times I was betting on the Monmouth race with over 2 minutes to go and got same message. If you live in NJ you are screwed.

![]() When I am using TVG on my home computer, there is no more than a 1-2 second delay. But there have been times when I was using a tablet at or near the track and there was literally a 30-40 second delay. So I agree that if you are watching on your phone or tablet, I would always bet at least a couple of minutes early.

![]() I read an interesting report/study that was commissioned by the PA Dept. of Agriculture on racing in PA. Clearly states that restricted radius areas in the state actually are harmful to the industry on the whole and do more to discourage wagering than anything. Also pointed finger at high takeout for steadily declining handle at PA tracks. Cited declining field size as result of breeder uncertainty with Breeder's Fund and prevalence of drug violations.
It's on their website and worth a read. PA only takes a maximum of 2% on any wager, but do set a maximum takeout allowed on any particular bet. Of course, all the tracks and horsemen take the maximum, over 30% on some bets. It's a good blueprint on how to kill an industry. |
