He screwed his ankle up when running fourth to Silver Train in the Met Mile and they couldn't get him right again.....I hadn't heard this, but if it was out there then sorry for the repost.....

I was hoping for his triumphant return... too bad. I guess it was the equivalent of waiting for Southern Image to return lol

So the stigma so far on Fu-Peg kids are: Freakishly talented, and get hurt too early and too often? Agree? Disagree? Yes? no?

Except for the soundness issue I would think he will have a long waiting line. I might not understand breeding quality but this sounds extreeely low and should get plenty of action.

Disagree. He was always a cripple and I wouldn't breed to him at all. SO he's expensive in my book.

Yep, and it has to do with many Mr. Ps....the good ones like FuPeg were brillaint when right, but they are all pretty fragile.....

Really, the good Storm Cats are no different....most of the Giant's Causeways actually have good bone, but the rest of the Storm Cats on par are prone for bad knees, etc.....especially Forestrys, Tale of the Cats, etc.....

He comes from an amazing female family-- the Moccasin branch of the amazing Rough Shod clan. Moccasin was an amazon of a filly who was a champion 2 year old and co-horse of the year.

She turned into a brilliant broodmare, producing, among others, champion Apalachee, who in turn, was quite a good stallion. She's also the ancestress of such notable "current" names such as Hail Atlantis, Stormy Atlantic, and Bandini.

The Rough Shod clan is probably one of the best stallion producing families in the book... responsible for such names as Sadler's Wells, Nureyev, Fairy King, etc.

If your mare had bone and matched him well, I would run to him like a fat girl runs to cake!
