Arlington Park POST SCRATCHES - POLY / YIELDING

#7 Susan's Day (5-1) - Comes in from Presque Isle after sharp debut at a mile.
#4 Puntsville (3-1) - Has plenty of gas early, but will have company. 4TH

R8 - Arlington Washington-Futurity 100 (2yo 7F)

#7 Ike Walker (9-2) - Draws well after impressive maiden score at the distance.
#4 Recount (3-1) - Maybe didn't care for the dirt at Prairie Meadows, but the poly debut sticks out. WON $5.80
#6 Bourbon Cowboy (4-1) - Two solid efforts to start career and should improve with the stretch out. 4TH
#5 Private Prospect (7-2) - Hard to argue with being undefeated in 3 starts, but the speed numbers are light. 2ND

R9 - Alw 31k N1X (Turf 5F)

#5 Bajan Rhythm (12-1) - Benefits form all the speed lined up.
#6 Goesse (6-1) - Last two have been sharp and could translate it to the turf. 2ND
#9 Voodoo Spell (5-2) - Ultra consistent and just need a clean trip. 3RD
#2 Bluegrass Dan (8-1) - Could catch a flyer and be difficult to reel in.

R10 - MSW 31k (Turf 2yo 8F)

#5 Oak Brook (4-1) - Full brother to multiple Grade 1 winner (Giant Oak), who won his debut at Arlington going a mile on the Turf for the same connections. Deja Vu. (Singleton) 2ND
#11 Lawless Est (3-1) - Working well for the Cat Man.
#1 Willing to Travel (8-1) - Made a nice late move in debut and should due the same from the inside draw.
#12 Kinsmanor (10-1) - Should be tighter in 2nd start.

PK4 - 1 2 3 4 7 / 4 6 7 / 2 5 6 8 9 / 5 = $37.50 for $.50

Gulfstream Park POST SCRATCHES - FAST / FIRM

R9 - MSW 43k (2yo f 6.5F)

#3 Of Course (3-1) - Can easily complete the Stanley Gold Trifecta.
#8 Wayne's Way (12-1) - Expect him involved early.

R11 - Florida Stallion Susan's Girl 250k (2yo f 7F)

#8 Hangover Saturday (12-1) - Works indicate she likes the dirt as well.
#3 Awesome Ice (5-1) - Zimmerman sticks here after maiden score. 4TH
#6 Standard Deal (4-1) - Will be gunning from the sound of the bell.
#9 Holywell (12-1) - Deserves another shot after troubled trip. WON $85.60

R12 - MSW 43k (Turf 2yo F 5.5F)

#12 Catfight Cowgirl (10-1) 2ND
#6 Golden Emily (6-1)
#4 R Javy's Dream (5-2)
#7 Artiebabe (20-1) 3RD

PK4 - 3 5 8 12 / 1 9 / 3 6 8 9 / 4 6 12 = $48 for $.50

Kentucky Downs POST SCRATCHES - FIRM

R7 - Kentucky Downs Juvenile 200k (Turf 2yo 7F)

#2 Luck of the Kitten (5-2) - Should be tough on the front end. 2ND
#4 Reality (7-2) - Two decent efforts to start career at Saratoga.
#8 Croninthebarbarian (8-1) - Barn excels with youngsters and improved on turf last time. WON $10.40
#9 Czar (10-1) - Made a nice late run after having trouble leaving the gate in debut. 3RD

R8 - Kentucky Downs Fillies 200k (Turf 2yo f 7F)

#2 Late Spring (8-1) - (BEST BET) Well bred filly made short work of rivals in debut and could take another forward step here. 3RD
#5 Artistic Touch (30-1) - The switch to the turf could give her a wake up call.
#1 To Be Determined (5-2) - Has the speed, but the extra distance is a concern. 4TH
#11 Nicky's Brown Miss (8-1) - Fits here on a couple of solid turf efforts. WON $19.60

R9 - Dueling Grounds Derby 250k (Turf 10.5F)

#8 Medal Count (5-2) - Huge class edge and returns to what could be his best surface. 2ND
#4 My Afleet (8-1) - Proved tough on the front end at Saratoga in most recent and they'll have to get by him to win. WON $19.00
#2 Can'thelpbelieving (Ire) (9-2) - Seems to always bring it and fits well with this group. 3RD
#6 Woodfield Springs (8-1) - Better when close to the pace and capable of a minor award

R10 - MSW 80k (Turf 12F) - Head scratcher to end sequence.

#5 Diacetto (10-1) - Well bred and thinking the blinkers will wake him up.
#10 Wall Street Kitten (5-1) - This extra distance might be to his liking.
#8 Northeast Bound (5-2) - 11 chances with 6 board finishes is hard to trust on top, but the change in scenery might help him get over the hump. WON $6.80
#3 Lune de Caro (20-1) - Showed some ability when last seen over 26 months ago.

PK4 - 2 4 8 / 1 2 5 11 / 4 8 / 3 5 8 10 13 = $60 for $.50 PAID $826.35 FOR $.50

Good Racing Luck

Thanks A Thornton - I really thought they were going to move #5 Oak Brook up on the inquiry. WOW. I'll take being 5 deep in the finale at Ky Downs. I really took a shot to the gut in that Gulfstream finale $$$.

Thanks, athornton - I've been handicapping seriously since the mid 90's and this could be one of the craziest days I've had. Being alive to two huge PK4s and striking out on the last leg was something. I could not imagine if I didn't come through at Kentucky Downs. I'm glad I didn't get a chance to see the will pays on the PK4 at Gulfstream. Greatest game played outdoors. Hope some jumped aboard.

Default Great job.

Gus, I was getting hit hard all day, couldn't catch a thing. Bought both pick 4's (Gulfstream, Kentucky Downs) & went home. Let's just say I got back to even. Any idea what the Pick 4 was paying to the 12? Great job!!!!

Thanks, Mike, Mike, and Denny - The 12 (10-1 ML, but went off at 7-2 at post time) at Gulfstream was paying $3255.25 for $.50 - Denny, glad you jumped aboard the Ky Downs PK4.

Thanks Mike, Pro V1x will be flying Monday morning at Bolingbrook Golf Club. I'm playing it for the 1st time, I heard it was on MJ's rotation in the 90's.

Great day of capping Gus

Was at AP and agree that the winner should have came down in the last.

Thanks, Shannon and Booner - Yeah after they looked at it for an extended time I figured the winner was coming down. I've been the recipient of take downs and they are suppose to even out. I really enjoy the racing at Ky Downs and have for a long time.
