![]() Just a few notes on three earlier races before I get to the big P4…
Race 5: Wise Dan is reportedly training super, but with his illness and 127 lbs this might be the one chance to beat him. I think #10 Sky Blazer is worth a shot at good odds. He gets back to a distance which suits him best and will get a lot of pace to run at. The light weight helps… Race 7: #6 Giant’s Jewel: This is one that I’ve been following for a while now. I have a feeling that he can finally get the breakthrough here. Race 8: #2 Stonetastic: Has dazzled in her two sprint tries. This is tougher, but she can handle it. #3 Southern Honey: Can and should run better, but Arnold is struggling… Race 9: #3 Gratitude is SCR... #1 Orient Harbor: Getting better with each start since the addition of blinkers. Rosario sticks here. #6 Runway Ready: May be the speed of the speed, but showed in March she can still come with a big run sitting just off the lead. Look for a much improved effort. #8 Ballerina Belle: Her two best runs have been close to the pace and I can’t see her in that spot this time. Including her now that #3 is out. Race 10: #10 Confrontation: Improving 4yo goes up against tougher but loves the Spa and should work out a favourable trip. #8 Clearly Now: Dominant performance at Belmont, but he is no longer at the bottom of the weights and has to show that he can run big ones back to back. #4 Zee Bros: Speedster may not see much company up front. Needed his last and will run a big one. #1 Capo Bastone: Unlike his record when he desperately adds blinkers for the big ones, Todd generally seems to get it right taking the shades off. #6 Palace: Doesn’t seem as effective at seven panels. Race 11: #4 Moreno: Will be extremely difficult to run down. Can see him doing it again. #6 Zivo: Has a very impressive kick but he just might not get the pace to run at. #1A Romansh: Plagued by inconsistency, but he has the quality at 9f if he gets a solid trip. #5 Prayer for Relief: Battled on well after being shuffled on the turn. Worth throwing in as a shot. #2 Itsmyluckyday: Don’t think the blinkers will have the desired effect. Race 12: #12 Special Agent: Proven at a distance, working well for this, and on the upswing as a 3yo. #7 Belisarius: Originally a Coolmore runner who scratched out of the Secretariat due to a cough. Comes from a good family, but his form is far from impressive. Have to wonder if he’s fully fit. The type that you don’t want to use but don’t want to get beat by. Also using #1, #6, and #8. $0.60 Late Pick Four Race 9: 1, 6, 8 Race 10: 1, 4, 8, 10 Race 11: 1, 4, 6 Race 12: 1, 6, 7, 8, 12 $108.00 Good luck! Last edited by Kitan : 08-30-2014 at 02:18 PM. |

![]() Thanks. The race wasn't that strong...Pletcher's one isn't a world beater and I've been following Miss Behaviour ever since I cashed with her in the Miss Preakness but I know that that was a weak race...figured the 2 could step up in this grade given the way she's run sprinting. Thank goodness for that race and the last otherwise the day would have been a disaster.
