Default Top 2 sports stories all day

It's after 8PM and the top two lead sports stories at ESPN remain...

1.) Some NBA player I've never heard of says he's gay.

2.) Tim Tebow is cut by the Jets.

It blows my mind the crap that people care about. Even Sports fans, apparently.

Perhaps Tebow is regretting not coming out.

good for him. but he'll still be shunned by many.

doug, of course the nba player is a big story-he's the first in any of the leagues to do so.

it's a shame tho, it completely swamped the news that ovie was first star for the month of april.

Yeah, cause that would get a ton of play.
You had a better chance of seeing something from the exciting world of Speeling Bee over the Ovie story.

the avy, Matt.

Collins should be applauded, but NBA players/fans aren't actually gonna have to deal with homosexuality until a young star comes out. Collins is the last guy on the bench and will be easy to ignore. And yeah, his timing seems a little strategic.

Collins scored 9 baskets last year.

He isn't really active, his teams season is over and there is very little use for a guy who is clearly finished and more importantly because of NBA salary rules makes over $1.3 million a year. He has set himself up for a lucrative post playing career as the 1st "active" player to come out and the requisite fame that comes with that.
