Default Steve Byk

I know he had a bad weekend but maybe this is the best time to give my thanks for all the EXCELLENT advice/info/hard work he gives us day in day out on this game.

He never has excuses, and is happy for those who do win with a different opinion than his

He is one of a kind and I am thankful for him and ATR and wanted to save this praise for a weekend that wasn't so kind to him ( handicapping wise that is ), and truthfully it's been a long wait !

I am 62 yrs old and he is the reason I became a fan in 2007 when I stumbled upon ATR on Sirius. I really have absolutely no reason why I should've become a big race fan since I live in Laurium, Mich ( "Home of Geo Gipp") way up in the UP of Michigan right on Lake Superior where the nearest live racing to my home is Arlington Park or Canterbury Park....a good 8-10 hr drive from my home.

Thank You Steve.....

Every handicapper has bad days. And lets not forget your best day at the track can be in the dead of winter on a Wednesday.

Steve Byk has his place in the history of the sport. No need to worry about a bad Derby week. We've all had them.

Well except for Bogey. But he's not human.

Couldn't agree more. The past two weeks of coverage on ATR completely justifies my XM subscription fees for the entire year. Incredible work and dedication.

Well said Coach. Especially the part about Steve having his place in the history of the sport. And, he's not done yet.

clambeau,

Couldn't answer appropriately on drive back from Louisville yesterday but cannot begin to properly express how much I appreciate this. It's always gratifying to hear from people that say listening to ATR or being on DT has helped them become better horseplayers, but especially heartening to hear that someone completely unaware of racing found the show spinning the dial and developed an interest. All of us can guarantee the game's future by introducing it and its' pleasures to our friends. It's an honor and priviledge for me to present a platform for that endeavor and both rewarding and motivating to know it finds purchase.

Thanks for the exceedingly kind compliment..
Steve

ATR had a huge influence on me becoming more of a fan of the game, I remember when I really got into it by creating my first virtual stable and adding Indygo Mountain and Silver City to my early Derby horse watch list after hearing Steve interview their trainer.

Truer words never said. I especially like his humility...always deflects the praise and never tries to promote himself. Awards will come in time. Just hope TV doesn't get smart and try to steal him from us. Work would SUCK without this show.

Steve has a great show and is truly a class act and a skilled broadcaster.

His show is one of the main reasons I keep Sirius.

Keep up the good work buddy!

Steve's show was great. I listened each day for three hours of entertaining and great infomation. When at the races moved from 4-7 PM time slot a couple of years ago I was bummed out. I like the 9-12 AM slot better. It gives Steve and guests an opportunity to discuss the up coming action. I hope Steve D. is ok with this health issues. I missed his conversation derby week. This is not an easy game to make money but we all love the challenge and excitement of the sport of horse racing.

Steve, an overdue thank you for all the efforts and incredible information provided in the run up to the Derby. Even the occasional ATR & DT particpant has a leg up on the game with you facilitating the presentation. Rest up!

Yes, thank you Steve. Been a member since back in the yahoo com days. I don't get here as much as I'd like due to life bs but I always enjoy my time here. I hope to be able to go in on a horse in the Derbytrail Stable before too long.
