![]() Such a sad day in Columbus, Ohio as the Yankees have decided to pull their relationship with the Clippers here in Columbus. 28 years that has been their AAA Farm Team. I have spent many an evening at the Ole' Coop watching future stars play ball. Dime a Dog Night is a Tradition unlike many others here in Columbus.
Big George can kiss my rear. What really sucks is that the plans are underway to build a new stadium for the team. Oh well life goes on. |

![]() What is the point of a Yankee AAA team. They just go out an buy all the all-stars each year from teams that can no longer afford them. That is why baseball trails significantly in popularity compared to football. Watch the Mets-Yankees world series get less viewers than a regular episode of most sitcoms. The sport is a joke without a salary cap.

1) Its called roster fillers with players that be in the majors if they weren't in the Yanks organization. 2) Its called creating a foundation before you pay for the supporting cast. Prospect coming Phillip Hughes. Current and Former Yankee players who played in the Yankee organization before being called up in the Majors Current: Jeter Rivera Cano Posada Melky Cabrera Bernie Williams Andy Phillips - big whoop Wang Past: Pettitte Soriano - should had been a Cub in Sammy deal - darn it. Nick Johnson Should I go on? Its more like they have the money to keep their foundation of Jeter, Posada, Cabrera, Cano, and Wang. I also remember the Dbacks offered Bernie Williams tons more money to play for them in '98 and he stay with the Yanks.

![]() Yankees payroll $200M+, $80M higher than any other team. Cut off $80M of their team and see what you have left. Cut off $100M if you want to see what most teams play with.
Lets see, that would be Damon, Jeter, Arod, Rivera, and a few more. The sport is a joke when teams like the Phillies have to get rid of their top players and the only team that can afford to pick him up is the Yankees. So when they lose to the White Sox in the first round do they spend $300M next year. ![]() |
