![]() Rather than force the issue and try to force feed him as even a regional sire, they gelded High Fly and have him back on the farm... Be sure to read Bruce Hill's quotes within the story about what the life of sire is like.
Young sire High Fly pensioned, gelded by Jeff Lowe Grade 1 winner and young sire High Fly has returned to owner Charlotte Weber’s Live Oak Stud in Ocala after a stint in Indiana, but he will not continue as a stallion. ![]() I loved Highfly, and wondered why i never really came across any of his offspring this past year as 2-year olds. I realized his pedigree was pretty modest compared to the results he had on the track.
Looking back, that was a pretty weak crop of 3-year olds in Florida that spring, but he was fun to watch. |
