![]() Setsuko is a hard one to figure. Normally, I love route-types cutting back, but typically those show sprint proficiency at least in the early stages of their career. Not so with Setsuko.
On the other hand, Dick Mandella has won this race with sprinters (Oraibi), milers (Dixie Union, Afternoon Deelites), and routers (Rock Hard Ten) so you have to consider his judgment in the matter as well. Sidney's Candy should be in the Malibu, IMO. He looked like a superior sprinter, albeit on Pro-Ride, in the San Vicente. Twirling Candy, who's class is in question, seems a better fit in the Sir Beaufort on grass. In the end, however, on class, style, and recent form, Noble's Promise should be the horse to beat. |

![]() Malibu for me is a 2 horse race. I got nothing clever, only hope is they crush Nobles Promise and Steve A pos.
Not seeing anyone but Alcindor or Twirling Candy winning this thing. |
