Default Is it just me....

Or does the Pletcher barn always seem to get crazy hot right before a major horse auction starts?

The stats back it up ... but what do stats know?

Perhaps he needed a little vacation money.

He's 18-for-162 (11.1% wins) and a laughable $0.89 ROI in Graded Stakes at Churchill Downs for his career.

He's 91-for-540 with a downright horrible $1.31 ROI with all starts at CD. That's losing more than double the takeout with a pretty big sample size.

I think you get more bang for your buck with buying scratch off lotto tickets than betting Pletcher at CD.

His stats are only slightly better when you remove his 24 Derby starts from consideration.
