Default Hey Steve. What's the odds?

Of RA and Zenny getting together for a race this year? Ask around for the inside scoop like I know you will and let us nobody's know what's brewing. I'd love for them to meet up at Oaklawn. I also think it'd be almost as big as the Kentucky Derby. Thanks.

I think it will be quite awhile before we learn if this race would take place.
Especially with both RA and Zenyatta having the option to run in the handicap division races vs. boys, or the older filly and mare races. I wouldn't be surprised if Zenyatta stays on the west coast and runs in the Big Cap at Santa anita, and then (hopefully) thinks about pointing to some big races in the summer outside of California.

I think the biggest obstacle to them facing each other (besides surface & potential weather issues is) if one of them should lose one of their comeback races. That loser might be potentially wisked away in to retirement, before the big race ever happens.

If both stay healthy, I could see Zenyatta's connections waiting until the BC Classic at Churchill to meet. By waiting until the BC Classic, the field should be large enough to ensure some pace for Zenyatta and it would be at a preferred distance of a mile and a quarter. However, the chances of a wet track will increase significantly in November.

I like both and would love to see them meet up at Oaklawn. For some reason I am starting to wonder if Rachael Alexandra is going to come back from her break as good as she was. I think RA would win against Z but you never know what can happen from day to day let alone from 6 month or more ago.
