That place will be busting at the seams if Rachel and Zenyatta hook up on April 3.
I wonder if Asmussen will give RA a prep or train up to the Apple Blossom, which I think was the original plan?

She hasn't breezed yet how the heck is she going to be ready for Zenyatta in 4/3... She needs at least a month of serious works without complications.. Unless she breezes within the next 3 weeks the Apple Blossom could be a long shot

Asmussen is a master off the layoff...he will have her ready.
He has plenty of time.

Built in excuse for RA if he does that, not saying they need it, but I already see the 'off the layoff' stuff from the RA side...

When was that supposed race down at the FG that they said would put a huge purse on it to get those two to come?

I am guessing that Churchill doesn't want it to be Derby week because this 'matchup' would absolutely make the Derby 2nd fiddle.

I don't see the Mosses going to NY either. Should be pretty interesting

FG has a $200k race on 3/13 that she could run in. The Apple Blossom is April 4. As some have pointed out, she has done little more than gallop in the am. She won't have a work until the end of this month or beginning of next at the earliest. I don't imagine they will rush her just to make the Oaklawn race. I still think any matchup will be in the Louisville at the earliest. Who knows. RA might may make her 2010 debut in a specially written FG allowance on the Louisiana Derby undercard.

I'd like to see them both in the Whitney. Wouldn't be surprised to see Zenyatta at Churchill to see how she likes the track before the 2010 BC.
