From T-Bredtimes.com: Wonder Lady Anne L works toward Alabama Stakes Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) winner Wonder Lady Anne L turned in her final tuneup on Monday heading into the Alabama Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course, breezing six furlongs over the main track. Ridden by Edgar Prado, Wonder Lady Anne L completed the move in 1:14.01, the fastest of seven at the distance. "She did a nice, easy breeze, Edgar was very happy with her," trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. said. "I'm glad I saw what I saw." Dutrow's plan is for Wonder Lady Anne L to run on Saturday in the Alabama, where she would face the likes of Adieu, Ex Caelis, Lemons Forever, Pine Island, Pyramid Love, Teammate, and Unbridled Belle. "Unless something goes wrong, she's a definite," Dutrow said. "She's been doing very, very well lately." Racing Hall of Fame trainer Bobby Frankel said Sugar Swirl is probable for the race Wonder Lady Anne L beat Ex Caelis, Pine Island, Teammate, and Unbridled Belle in the Coaching Club American Oaks, but Dutrow is not counting on an easy win. "It still ain't no easy spot," Dutrow said. Dutrow said Grade 1 winner Silver Wagon came out of his five-furlong breeze on Sunday in great shape as he eyes the Forego Handicap (G1) on September 2. "He's good. He's on target," Dutrow said. Among those eyeing the Forego with Silver Wagon are Commentator and Alfred G. Vanderbilt (G2) winner War Front.—Warren Alber
