I wonder if they'll shorten the CCA Oaks to 9F. I know the history buffs wouldn't like it, but this race has really been "Grade I" in name only the past few years. There's little sense in having two 10F races for 3YO fillies at Saratoga, and the shorter distance would probably help it compete for horses with the 8.5F Delaware Oaks.

Just booked the Marriot for $161. a night. The chains haven't figured out the added racing dates. Book today save money.

The Belmont meet has become bad after July 4, and the last few days of the summer meet have been dreadful recently.

That's pretty much what was done. 4 days taken upstate... 4 days between Sunday Belmont close (18th) and Toga opener (23rd).

Dare I say it. Toga is by far NYRA's most successful meet and nothing says Summer like Saratoga. I say go from Memorial Day to Labor day. Cut out the Mondays and possibly the Wed's. I will now put on my DT Flak jacket.
