Default Is racing over for the year?

I would suspect the best horse this year, RA, is done till next February or so.

We all know the Breeders Cup is a non event that no one cares about and carries no merit because its not on dirt and in california, again.

Not talking about gamblers, they could race on cockroaches running up a wall if they felt like they had an edge..........but for the racing fan, for the media what lil there is, is the sport over for the year?

You still have some fine races coming up and more importantly you still need to keep your eye out on the 2 year old colts for next year..

No one really cares about fine races, good betting races maybe, but fine races don't do a lot.

I guess my point is this the earliest end of the year I can remember, I think racing ended about 6pm Saturday, for all intents and purposes.

So we won't hear from you again until January then?

You could only hope........

I bet on horses....take that back, I bet against other peoples poorly construed opinions. So racing really never stops from that standpoint, but as a fan its really an early season. I guess it could get interesting if a couple standout two year olds appear.

I would say yes, the racing year is over, for all intents and purposes.

There's plenty of good racing in front of us. While it's sad that Saratoga is ending Belmont Fall Championship meet has a lot of good racing. Oak Tree starts in a month and Keeneland is a month away.

To me racing season ends after Thanksgiving weekend. I'll take a break and slowing start following again in February. The lone exception will be a trip to Aqueduct on New Years Day to get the 2010 calendar.

Default value

after saratoga the "value" in the game disappears. The $31.00 exacta becomes $14.00. Unfortunately field size is reduced and "one" turn races at Belmont are a joke.

Def. Agree with the value. I really got into pick 3's this meet. All you need is 1 price. 2-1, 6-1 and 9-5 pays huge most of the time. It seems like its only here. Keenland might be similar, but thats really it, IMO.
